Film School Rejects: Zombieland Takes Over the Box Office

I'll be honest. I've only heard of 2 of these movies. I'm looking forward to Zombieland and I'll eventually see Michael Moore's movie (but why, we won! heh.) Sure... Toy Story 2 in 3D... good for them. I'm not a big TV person but the lack of advertising is seriously detrimental to the success of these films. They aren't summer blockbusters though, we are in the lull for several more months.

Zombieland was just that good. It wasn't perfect but it carved its place in great zombie movie history and now will be part of a lot of people's horror collections. Whip it got smoked pretty bad. I thought that movie would at least break the 10 million mark.

Isn't Zombieland a remake of Shaun of the Dead?

I've heard great things about The Invention of Lying, but I just don't think Ricky Gervais' clout is big enough in the US to open a film, even with a great supporting cast. As evidenced by Ghost Town at least, his brand of comedy seems to fare better on television

sounds to me like someone is complaining. Zombieland got more viewers b/c it looks more enjoyable to watch and entertaining. no zombieland isn't a remake of Shaun of the Dead it's FARRRR better than Shaun of the Dead in my opinion. Shaun of the Dead didn't even make me laugh.

There were wave to watch huge blood violence horror movie. Many serious horror movies caused many bad incidents and educated people know watching horror movie can caused to tension. But I appreciate Zombieland movie as it focused comedy more than horror.
