    I love the nod at the end to the "Jazz Club" scene in Spider-Man 3. If there was ever a scene that took me out of a movie, that would be it.

    Also, the scene from Knocked Up is a classic.

    Another scene I contemplated was when Mariane Pearl finds out what happened to her husband at the end of "A Mighty Heart"--powerful stuff.

    The train sequence in Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford was the most beautiful scene this year.

    Sh*t! I just listened to 12/20 episode of Filmspotting and Adam Kempenaar referenced almost all of these scenes. Well, I guess that could enhance my list maybe a bit, but it just feels unoriginal to me now.

    American Gangster: When Frank Lucas approaches his main competitor on the street after his brothers arrive in NYC.
