Film School Rejects: X-Files 2: The Truth Won’t Be Out There

In the X-Files Series Finale, Mulder and Scully basically did it right there on screen.

But I'm down for a stand alone film, in fact, a franchise of them. That's a good idea that we haven't had. They can be creepy and scary, but have recurring heroes instead of villains. Generally movies on the darker side adopt recurring baddies.

    I'm excited for this, mostly.

I'm a big fan of the X-Files, and I'm actually glad the new film won't contain any mythology. The mythology became hopelessly convoluted after a few seasons, and I don't want to see it get any more wildly out of control.

It would be new to read romance story other than conspiracy in X-Files. But is it weird of simple love film since the movie's name makes you connect with mythology and conspiracy?

I love the mythology, but I must agree, a series of stand alone x-files would be fantastic, just please bring back the cigarette-smoking son-of-a-motherless goat at least once.
