Kid Rock said it best, all the celebrities should shut their mouths.

To be fair though, who saw the Charles Barkley interview at the convention the other night? I think he said the word "idiot" 4 or 5 times when discussing racism and why people who supported Clinton wouldn't vote for Obama. Some celebrities just open their mouths and spew GOLD--so what if they think they're important. I say countless hours of entertainment!

Actually Laura Ingraham wrote a book a few years ago about this very topic called "Shut Up and Sing."

What these people don't seem to grasp is regardless which side they take and make a public stand on, they alienate 50% of the US population.

I agree 100%, they (celebrities) tell us the public they are just like the rest of us (they put their pants on the same way we do) and hate being bothered out in public, yet when it comes to certain issues they want to take advantage of being a celebrity and want all eyes on them? No one cares who you support, which most of Hollywood is pushing for Obama. Get off my screen with that crap, just do your job and act and get paid "normal" amounts of money. Pushing for your favorite won't influence us since we all know you live in a fantasy land. Back here on earth, we have real problems.

I am extremely frusterated with the celebrity endorsments. Not only because it is just crap spewing out of their mouth when they have no real idea what is going on, but the real annoyance is that I feel when I watch a movie now, I have to look for some underlying political message. I have to go through the cast to see who is in it first and wonder what secret message they are trying to impose on me. I just want to be able to watch a movie and relax. All they need to do is continue to pretend for a living and leave politics out of it.
