I will disagree that McG wouldn't be a horrible choice. McG is always a horrible choice. HIS NAME IS MCG! I will never, ever watch a movie directed by a person named McG. Not going to happen. He could make a movie called LESBIANS FIGHT ZOMBIES IN OUTER SPACE BECAUSE THAT'S THE KIND OF MOVIE MISTER HAND WOULD REALLY LIKE TO SEE and I wouldn't see it. Any talk of McG NOT being horrible at anything only validates his idiocy. Plus, he made those terrible CHARLIE'S ANGELS films. And ohmyGoddungemmestatted.

Someone get Megan Fox's agent on the phone! They are trying to ruin the movie before it begins. One small note Neil, Beyonce is now Jay-Z's wife as of 4/4/08. But otherwise carryon we all agree with you 100%.

Just because this country finally elected is first African American President, this does not mean that certain movie roles should be played by African Americans. Even though the reverse is done in Hollywood. Beyonce has shown us time and time again that her pipes are her best assest , not movie dialogue.

While I like Halle, hometown girl (Bedford,Ohio) and all, she was horrible in Catwoman. And being one of Oprah's BFFs while promoting Catwoman made me want to ask Oprah for my money back!

Ok, just because Obama is president doesn't mean everything has to be black now. It's like having a black Batman or Superman. If you want black heroes, do Luke Cage and Black Panther. Don't screw with established white heroes

She said, “After doing these roles that were so emotional I was thinking to myself, ‘OK, I need to be a superhero’.

To me that sounds like she has no idea of what she's talking about.
Wonder Woman is a character constantly met with tough emotional challenges as well as physical ones. It's like she's thinking of a campy light version of the character.
This is not Austin Powers. And that is not the sort of WW film people want to see.
TDK and Iron Man did so well because they steered clear of that sort of thing.

For me, it's nothing to do with the fact that she's black. I just don't think she gets it.
... And I still think Megan Gale would be the best choice to play WW.

ok honestly this is not the first time I've heard this rumor, and everyone says "well they made Catwoman black blah blah blah".

Ok nerding out here, Catwoman is a minor character in the comics, most ppl dont really know who she is anyway so its flexible.

Wonder Woman is one of the biggest female super-hero names ever if not thee biggest name. It would be like making Superman black....which would ruin the whole thing for 2 reasons.

1. Can anyone really imagine Superman being black? not on a racial note but just as the question is, can you imagine Superman the white super-hero that has been around since 1938 out of the blue just turn black? The answer is no, Wonder Woman debuted in the 1940's so she's got just as much a history as Supes.

2. We already have a black Superman and his name is Steel...he even had his own movie.......and thats all we'll speak of that.

Beyonce is hot? Absolutely, is she ever going to be Wonder Woman? Never

First, Beyoncé is barely black. She could pass as a tan white girl.
Second, since most of the world's population is composed of darker skinned people,
darkening superheroes a little is probably good business.
Third, I really haven't seen her act. It might work.
Fourth, for a brief period of time, very brief, Warner Bros. considered Bill Murray as Batman
and Eddie Murphy as Robin. Apparently, they thought they'd do a camp version.
Fifth, in the first Tim Burton "Batman" feature, Harvey Dent was black.
Sixth, at the conclusion of "Iron Man," we saw that Nick Fury is now black.
Seventh, in "The Simpsons," Waylon Smithers was originally black, but now he's white.
Eighth, that concludes my opinions and observations!

i gotta agree with Ryan. Its not a race thing. But, plain and simple Wonder Woman had been around since the 40's and was written and drawn as a white character. She was someone's creation and nobody should turn her black just cuz some singer thinks it'd be fun to play her in a movie. back off beyonce

1st of all people these characters are not real. 2nd when wonder woman was created in the 1940's no she wouldn't have been black, blacks couldn't vote,eat or drink from public facilities. Blacks were still being lynched. So here in 2009 there is still a problem because beyonce is not a good actress well there are good black actresses. Stop bringing up halle and catwoman blame the writer and director. And catwoman was played by 2 actresses in the 60's one being black Eartha Kitt. Why don't you all talk about jenn garner absolute horror superhero movie electra(ugh) And what does our biracial president has to do with anything? And as a diehard WW fan and a Black woman my pick would be Kate Beckinsale. Megan fox can't act either.
