Boiling Point: Too Early to Talk Avatar?
What Lies Beneath is getting a followong? Too bad, it wasn't that good....
First of all - brace yourself - the Exorcist is overrated. There, I've said it. People talk about being shaken to the core after seeing it, but they are usually cheerleaders or small children. It's decent, but frightening? No.
The Shining, sure, it deserves a nod, but Jaws, my friends, is not even a horror film. It just isn't. There are some scary moments, but it's just not horror.
Halloween is terrible.
Meanwhile, true horror cinema is left out in the cold. Where's The Last House on the Left? Mario Bava? Bird with the Crystal Plumage? Suspiria? Don't Look Now? Night of the Living Dead?
Ug, people need to watch some movies that were never made into remakes in the late 90's and early aughts.
