Film School Rejects: Watch This: Watchmen Deleted Scene Shows Hollis Mason’s Death

    THIS POST CONTAINS SPOILERS

I finished watching the Director's Cut of Watchmen earlier today and it''s better than the theatrical version though one addition is completely stupid.

Remember the scene after Manhattan's television interview when he asks them to leave him alone? The added scene has the audience disappear and Manhattan is alone on the stage. The film cuts to Dan and Laurie after the fight, panting. Dan arrives and Hollis's place and then we see Manhattan on Mars. The theatrical version of that scene is better.

Those Knothead actors are goddamn terrible. No wonder the scene got cut.

The acting is all over the place in the film. Akerman's performance is dreadful, worse than anything I've seen by Megan Fox. Gugino's performance isn't great either.

The actual fight scene was really well done. And I liked the phone call.

My favorite part of that scene is the shot of the trophy that says "in gratitude" but makes it look like "ingratitude."

I actually kind of like the changes they made to taht scene. Hollis puts up a hell of a fight, and I like the flashbacks.

I really want the directors cut.

Clearly Zack Snyder doesn't consider acting ability to be a necessary quality.
