As for Batman 3, isn't it a bit premature to be talking about the sequel? Sure they may have a date planned and want to get it done as soon as possible but I think you need to take your time to make it perfect.
Im not that excited about JLA or Green Lantern flicks, they never really did anything for me as comics.
As for DC comics adaptations, doesn't Watchmen come under DC Comics, which is owned by Warner Bros?
They tried with Hellblazer (Constantine) but totally ruined it. I was very disappointed with it. Why change the charactor from a blonde Brit to a dark haired American?
Green Lantern? Most people would say "Who?"
Aquaman? Already tried with a pilot tv series. Never made it past the pilot.
Teen Titans? Been a cartoon series. Possible?
Legion of Superheroes? The fans have been crying out for a move for years. Why not try and get this off the ground?
Try a Hellblazer reboot but with a Brit this time and set in Britain. Make it like a spokky supernatural type movie with elements of SAW in it and you have a winner. A Supernatural serial killer.
Sandman? Been bandied around for years. Could prove a very difficult character to bring to the big screen.

I agree with Nish in enjoying the flawed, but still fun, Superman Returns. While I don't think a reboot of the franchise is necessary either, I'd like for the filmmakers to do something with his superkid. Maybe have him flattened by Doomsday, killed by Brainiac, something.
I would enjoy seeing Green Lantern, but either leave the story about Hal Jordan and his origin (don't throw in the GL Corps until a sequel), or make it like Hancock (only better) with Guy Gardner as the character... a real prick of a guy who doesn't care about "Truth, Justice, and the American Way", but rather, "what can these powers do for my wallet and image?"
And while I didn't feel that Constantine was the disaster Atomic Raj may think, I do agree that casting Keanu was a mistake. Reboot it (you gotta. Constantine stopped smoking in the film series) with a Brit in the lead, focus on black magic and stuff on a smaller scale (starting in the London underground maybe?), and build a franchise from that.
As for what I'd like to see from Warner's...
- LOBO: Keep close to the character, but make it like "Hard Boiled" or "Shoot 'Em Up"... a live action, violent cartoon.
- SANDMAN: An animated, or CG film would be beautiful I'd think. Plus you'd have the Goth and Emo niche all sewn up.
- PREACHER: Since the TV series fell apart, there's theatrical potential. Just adapt each storyline as is, to Hell with political correctness, and have fun with it.
- MY FAITH IN FRANKIE: A Vertigo mini series from a few years back about a girl with her own God. I'd kill to see this one on the big screen.
hes learned from his mistakes.
Lacking to provide any new treatment of the world's oldest superhero, he instead paid homage to the exact same themes for the Donner movies and NOTHING save the CGI was new.
I think he should get another shot, but I think fans are kind of wary at this point. In my opinion, his leaving Xmen to make a lackluster Supes sank both franchises.
but here's to second chances...
I remember watching Buffy and thinking that Spike would have been ideal as Hellblazer. Kinda looked like him (obviously an older would be required) but i think James Marsters could have been mistaken for a young John Constantine. I was quite surprised to hear that James is actually Canadian. He had the accent down to a T.
Think he was reading Hellblazer as source material for the show.
The comments about Superman Returns are quite true. All he really did in the movie was to lift things. They should not have gone back to just after Superman 2. Should have started from scratch. Forget the memorable first two movies and come up with something new.
First off, what do you think Chris Reeve himself would say if he was here to see this movie? He would have been proud. For me, SR prompted me to rewatch the other Superman Movies to get answers and that is a way the sequels are supposed to work. It answers age old questions. Like what was the verdict of Lois and Superman's big night together? She did not remember it, but yet they have a child from it. Those who watched it would have never realized that if they started all over. Singer did an excellent job fusing the old and new together and Brandon Routh as Superman was absolutely a splitting image of Chris Reeve.
So stop downing SR, people. No Reboot is needed at all. Now that questions have been answered, now Singer can build the story in his own way.
