I do want to see Voltron on the big screen.I also do hope that they are true to the cartoons, where other planets exist, from what i read before they are going to make it in a post-apocalypse Earth and they will find the robot-lions.
I just hope they do make this movie great

The idea of a Voltron feature-film is just plain awesome! It was my favorite show as a kid. I grew up identifying with Pidge and begged my parents every year for the Voltron lions. It would be sweet to see it hit the big screen. My biggest concern is that Voltron is a name that was KNOWN back in the 80's. Now, it's considered a "throwback" to a time that belonged to the parents of the current generation. Unlike Transformers, which has kept a mainstream popularity pretty much most of the last two decades, Voltron was out of the spotlight except for the brief appearance in the Saturday show about ten years ago. I fear that this has the potential of being a bust similar to that of the Thunderbirds movie by Jonathan Frakes. It went far, far too long without mainstream presence. It was all but forgotten except to the hardcore fans and the curious. And, while I certainly enjoyed the film, there were a lot of people that were disappointed that it was live-action instead of the original marionettes.
A Voltron movie MAY be able to re-kindle a fire of enthusiasm in a new generation. Then again, it may also end up being a disappointment to all but the die-hard fans like myself. Here's to hoping for the former.

Oh Yeah! To this day, getting the Voltron Lion set for Christmas, is still my most memorable present. I hope they do this right!
