I can do with them NOT speaking German, but at least have the accent...tsk, tsk, tsk

This looks good to me. A story that is only mentioned in passing in modern history classes. It won't be much longer before the name Hitler is removed completely from our history books for fear of offending. As far as folks complaining about the lack of German speaking... In the movie Troy or in the movie Alexander did the folks speak Greek? Give me a break, it's an English release movie it should be in English.

i agree that i would have absolutely fell in love with this from the get go if it were in german with subtitles. it would have given it a more authentic feel. but i am still very much excited for this movie

The lack of German accents is irrelevant. "K-19" was villified for its Russian accents, while
"Amadeus" is given little flack for its many American accents and "Gladiator" gets off (Ridley)
Scott-free with the ol' ancient people spoke Britishy trick. Tom Cruise with a German or
even matching British accent would have been distracting.
I think the movie looks taut and exciting, personally.

This looks like an excellent movie except for one thing, Tom Cruise. He does not make a very convincing German officer. I think they could have made a much better choice for this part.
