    2. Tobey Maguire was the only good part about the movie. The movie went downhill from
    there. That whole "Satan's Alley" trailer was brilliant.
    3. I'm convinced that people rave about this movie because they think they're supposed to.
    The movie is not as witty or intelligent as the trailer made you believe.

    Saw the movie yesterday. I laughed twice, both times at Jack Black, but I smiled through the whole thing. All in all, very entertaining, but a bit overhyped. And I can't help but think that Matthew McCono-whatzit (really, I can't be bothered with that spelling) plays a really good douche bag because he IS a douche bag.

    Caught the flick last Friday with my buds. Lots of little giggles and chuckles here and there, but rarely any big laughs from myself, my friends or the rest of the audience (the screening room was packed).

    Tom Cruise really took that movie, and RDJ was great. Wish Jack Black had more to do though, and I agree that Coogan should have had more screen time.

    Nolte was a completely wasted opportunity. A couple good lines here and there, but his role was bare - could've been played by anyone.

    the dancing and corny rap music (Flo-Rida and one of Ludacris' worst songs?) really bothered me. That really brought the movie down. All in all, it was pretty funny, but overhyped (84% on rotten tomatoes, when Pineapple express was funnier and only has a 68%). Robert Downey Jr. was worth watching though

    Good list... pretty much spot on. Only thing I would add to the Things I Didn't Like are the scenes with Stiller playing Simple Jack. Not because of the whole 'retard' brouhaha, but because both the Simple Jack trailer and the re-enactment scenes in the camp were horribly unfunny. The conversation about Simple Jack between Stiller and Downey was freaking hilarious though.

    WWWWHHHHAATEVER... This movie is freaking hillarious. Most comedies lately have only had 1 or 2 funny spots in them and the rest is just boring but I couldn't stop laughing during this whole movie. Especially towards the end. A bald Tom Cruise dancing and cussing in a fat suit... PURE GENIOUS!!! I never ever would hav expected to see him do something like that and I love that he did. Hate all you want b/c there's people out there that will criticize ANYTHING.. but this movie is one of the funniest movies made in a long long time!! I'm definitely buying it whenever it comes out on video!

    Just saw this last night, I wasn't expecting it to be as funny as it was. I walked in expecting stupidity but walked out entertained, I about died when coogan got blown to bits and stiller said he could tell a fake prop head when he sees one, WOW!
    I really liked everything about this movie and tom cruise redeemed himself completely, I hope he keeps it up. RDJ and tom were the best, funniest and most brilliant parts of the whole thing, I would see it again just for them.

    I watched it and the first half was absolute shit but the second half was much better. The only two things that impressed me were the star studded cast and rdj's performance. I can't stop rewinding and playing "I'm a lead farmer motherfucker!!!!!"
