Film School Rejects: Tron 2 Potentially Gets a Sillier Name and a Vague Plot

Well with all of the CGI techniques and programs we should be able to "Upgrade" the look of the film. It's kinda like an upgrade from black and green screen colored Mac to High Res Macbook. We'll see. And also Tron is from 1982 so I think it would be wise of Disney to try to bring Tron back to life as much as they can before the Tron 2.0 release and not make a mistake like X-Files 2: I want to believe where it didn't do much on the theaters.

I absolutely loved the test footage! if thats anything to how this film is gonna look, it could only be screwed up if maybe Joel Schumacher was to get his mits on it.

Actually I'm not as excited about a Tron 2. I first saw Tron on special edition VHS from the town video store when I was a kid. I didn't even know who Jeff Bridges was. The only person I knew was Bruce Boxleitner because of "Scarecrow & Mrs. King". We're probably talking I'm between 8 and 10 in the mid to late 90's.

Now what was cool about that movie even fifteen years after it's been released was the prediction of what computers could do and the immense fantasy world that a computer game cold create. Now we have realistic gaming with your "Call of Duty" etc... all in HD and IDK... It jst seems to me like if it goes too retro like the test footage nobody will buy into it and if it updates it to meet today's standards it will be like the new "Knight Rider". Usually I'm first on the block calling for a sequel or remake, and if they do film this I could end up liking it. But right now, I'm not really paying it much mind

I like the sound of Tron 2.0. Since I'm assuming that this movie will have an updated version of Tron; although it would be kinda funny if they still use the low polygonal world that was in the first.
