Bring on Harry Potter. I'm tired of garbage and MOON doesn't hit my city till this weekend.

Gah! Anyone know if there are any showings of Moon in Canadian theatres. I've been wanting to watch it since it was released!

It's interesting to see how "critic proof" TF2 really is. I think it will take a huge hit when HP6 hits next week and based upon all those early ticket sales Half-Blood Prince could be a contender for movie of the summer. I am looking forward to this one since Transformers was pretty bad. But $300 million is a statement of how much fans really enjoy Transformers.

Harry potter sucks along with this movie, but thats only my opinion...

Given the track record of the "Harry Potter" films, the "events" that occur in the 6th book and fans interest to see how it's brought to screen, and people's overall desire to see something in theaters that isn't a complete and utter piece of trash (I"m looking at you "Transformers 2"), I'm confident that whatever audience was interested in "Transformers" would be more interested in "Harry Potter".

Harry Potter will be well better received because it's a big movie that isn't transformers. Critics will love it, audiences will see it in droves (Harry Potter fans haven't had anything to be rabid about since the last book... 2 years ago...), and Transformers will be forgotten.

At least that's what I think. I expect a blowout.

Having said that, I WOULD have called for a boycott, due to WB's shameless exploitation and middle finger up our asses. But I can't let Transformers win the summer. So bring on Potter.

yeah i remember when you boycotted my major studio release. absolutely ruined me.

Joke, dude. A lot of people said the same thing, but we all knew we'd be lining up to see it.

No sorry It did'nt harry potter may be the highest grossing film of the year but Transformers is the number 1 film of the year Its grossed nearly $402 domestic and is now the number 9 movie in the US. So bring on Transformers 3.

If anything, this really surprises me. To hit that mark for a sub... heck! Sub-sub par movie is way over my head. Admittedly, for a summer action movie (IMO) TF2 played better than Wolverine, but the difference is only hair thin. I guess partly, because I know next to nothing about Transformers (I was a TMNT kid) and know a lot about Wolverine's history. I was hoping the BO numbers would dwindle down once people realized that TF2 was a waste of time and money, but MAN was I off. Hopefully the new surge of releases will ferry that potential jackpot to something worthy.

    I will definitely watch HP6. Can't miss a Harry Potter movie :) Hopefully it's a lot better than HP5

HP6 will make a lot more money than Transformers and probably will be the highest grossing movie of the year both domestically and worldwide.
