If i never read/heard of the books this would more than likely catch my eye... i probably wouldnt make it a point to see it in the theater unless someone else made me.
Fortunately Im a fan of atleast the first book... and think it will actually work very well as a movie.

It isn't the type of story that would interest me in the first place, and the trailer reminds me far too much of that cheesy movie that came out years ago...The Covenant? It seems very much along the same lines and that movie was pretty bad.

I was impressed with the trailer. I think it pulled together enough variety to draw in a wider
audience than anticipated. I liked the feel of it and the darker washed out photography. The
leads have a lot of chemistry together so I think it will do reasonably well. Th tree climbing
was unusual but worked.

the male model vampire with a heart of gold! the only thing that piqued my interest was when I found out the leading chick was in panic room. she doesn't look interesting anymore, now she looks like she was in high school musical.

YES, it actually would spark my interest. I am only a 16-year-old girl, and this is exactly the
kind of movies movies my age group likes. Call me young, or stupid, or whatever, but it is
obvious that this movie is geared toward teen audiences. I am a HUGE fan of the series, but
I would definitely go see Twilight even if I had never heard of the book. Its romance, action,
and hello? Vampires!!!! Thats really awesome.

This trailer sucked. Does no one else see it? The lead actors Kirsten and Robert have no chemistry together, they just...look bad together. Plus Kirsten sounds more manlier than Robert does.

True, the trailer does'nt give a full sense of all the book had to offer. It only shows the scifi and romantic side of it. Making it darker and a bit more humorous could def boost a follwing for the film.(If I hadnt read the books, which I actually wouldnt have if a friend hadnt told me about them in the first place. She absolutely adores the series, of course.)

The trailer is embarrassing. Just check out the awkwardly stilted line delivery from the lead female character.

"Your impossibly fast and strong.........your skin is pale white and ice cold..... blah blah.... vampire."

This stuff is the definition of CRINGE-worthy.

As a reader of these books, I can also tell you what little plot there actually was felt very tacked on. I can't imagine the movie will be an improvement in that regard. You'll probably get an hour of the two leads staring awkwardly at each other and reciting vomit-inducing dialogue.

This is a movie to avoid at all costs, if you're interested in keeping your brain cells intact.

hey if you didnt like the trailer then dont watch it!! nobody cares what u haters think...the books were awesome and although, it does seem from just the trailer that the scenes dont match the book scenes but Rob Pattinson is it, and that's all I need to know. But the article itself that we're replying to says, "if Twilight didn’t have the crazy cult-ish following that it does now, and you were to see this trailer, wouldn’t it pique your interest just a little bit?"

I think we were asked to give our opinion. And we gave it, I don't think the trailer actually accomplishes much to draw in people who haven't read or didn't like the books. The only reason I might go watch it is that I actually really love the actor playing Mike, who has gotten no press or been in a single promo.

i hadn't even heard about the twilight series until i saw the brief behind the scenes shown on the Penelope dvd. it caught my attention right away and led me to the books. this trailer definitely would have hooked me if i hadn't heard of twilight. since i am familiar with it, this trailer has made me even more impatient to see the film. i'm practically counting down the days now. some of the scenes of the trailer felt off but i think everything will flow right in the film. trailers only have so much time to grab the audience's interest and they try to show all the dynamics the movie has to offer to attract a variety of movie-goers. it's definitely going to be worth seeing!!

well to be honest i don't believe the characters fit the discription they have in the book looks wise i pictured everyone so differently i guess that's oppinion just saying though except Emmett he looks like i thought he would.
the trailer was interesting. i did like it i don't know if i ever read the book if i'd go see it in theaters. but i would see it!
but all in all.

i agree with nio, they should of stayed books
its just ridicoulous...
honestly. the characters are all wrong in the movie...im actually related to stephanie meyer, so ive already seen the movie...
and as much as i think that robert patterson is really REALLY hot...i just dont think he makes the best possible edward, i also think that christan bell is COMPLETELY wrong for the role of bella...
anywho...im mostly just judgemental because i really enjoyed the book and i know what steph was thinking...

i think that both actors played both roles to the best of their abilities...
and patterson is REALLY REALLY HOT!!!
a whole hour and a half of that...im definately going...
and that stuff about you knowing stephanie meyer is bull...much less being related...as if!!

I wonder... Edwards' skin is naturally pale right? Or is that makeup? It looks really natural.

Well.. as you know.. some movie's beofre they come out, you see the triler, they look really good but when you go see the movie.. it turns out to be a nightmare. I'm really REALLY hoping this won't turn out to be that way. But so far.. the only thing that [no offense] kinda gets to me is that.. when Bella said ["I'm only afriad of losing you."] she sounded so plain and dead. She could've put more emotions into it.

But other then that, I'm dying to see this incredibly awesome movie and the hotties Edward Cullen and Jacob Black [I am an Edward Fan]~!!

Bella is pretty though~! I also think Alice is cute. I cannot wait til I see the movie, reading the book.. I never really thought of seeing a movie about it. It's unexpecting and I'm scared it'll ruin my perspective of my most favorite Saga but I guess that's fine.. I'm suffereing and dying- as everyone else too I'm sure-- and I cannot wait for the movie to come out. Is there ANY possibility of the date being moved back 2 or 3 weeks earlier?

I didn't actually imagine everyone in the book to look like how they do now. It's so unexpectant. I agree with Rosalinda. By the way, thats a cute name. But I agree with you, I'm hoping this will be good. The lead actress shouldn't really be in this movie though. She looks plain and dull. Like what Julia said. Not that I agree with everyone else. Just that. Hope it goes well. Can't wait! <3

And a comment on what Ngoc said WELL DUH THAT IS HOW BELLA IS SUPPOSE TO LOOK, SHE IS PALE WITH COLORED EYES AND BROWNISH REDISH HAIR. i GUESS YOU DIDN'T READ THE BOOK CAUSE THAT IS EXACTLY HOW SHE IS SUPPOSE TO LOOK. read the book be4 you critisize a character OKAY! I think that trailer, at the fight scene, wasn't as well shown as i had hoped. In the books,
doesn't it mention that she is covered in Blood? She is hardly bleeding at all in the trailer! I
think the blood made the whole thing more realistic, and i also imagined them in a much
smaller room...With deathly white walls and lots of mirrors...Like a real dancing class
hall...No? I didn't imagine James to look like that either...He seems too...confident. I
imagined him..more thin-faced and short spiky hair...and more...Sneaky..Cunning and sly
then he is shown in that trailer. But i can't wait to see the film! Jasper is Gorgeous. <33 LOL

Okay well I do think they casted this movie totally wrong. The lead male could have been better and i think they were COMPLETELY wrong with Christan, they just dont seem to have a lot of chemistry, they're sorta akward together...but i like the books so im gonna see it anyway...

I wanted to comment on the Trailer, because when I saw the very first one it was over a year ago. I had never heard of the "Twilight" series, but even then I thought it looked interesting...Then my niece got my sister into reading the books, and my sister passed the story onto me....I have just finished "Breaking Dawn", and I already miss Edward and Bella and all the rest of the extended family. I think that Stephenie Meyer is a wonderful writer, and I loved the way she brought to life the way Bella saw everything. As for the first movie, I feel the actors they have chosen are wonderful. Everyone is going to see Edward differently, but getting Robert Pattinson to play him is a wonderful choice. I totally saw Edward that way, Robert is my Edward!! And, Kristen Stewart is so Bella. Remember Bella is described as an ordinary, shy, clumsy girl. I honestly can't wait for the movie....I think every true Edward and Bella fan will be very happy with the first movie...I myself would like to see everyone of the books become a movie, and hopefully Stephenie will finish "Midnight Sun", and maybe continue to write more of Edward & Bella's story...:)

I cant wait till this movie comes out.. i am counting down the mins. till it comes to the movie theaters I am in love with this book.. Many people just started reading the books cuz they saw the movie was comming out.. they read the first book and they think they know everything about it now.. You dont know everything unless u read all the books.. and i heard they are comming out with a 5th book.. cant wait! My friends say i have a proublem because i have to watch the previews twice a day :D i luv TWILIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dont forget to go see it on November 21st

IMPORTANT AND INTERESTING COMMENT FOR TWILIGHT FANS! i have rarely ever found a book that has pulled me in as passionately as twilight has. I found the book by accident and just started reading it because i was bored and with every word and page and chapter I wanted more. Bella is described as kinda plain with reddish type hair and a pale face and that is exactly what kirsten is. If any critisizer( dont no if its a made up word but fits my feelings) has read all four books like I have they would have understood the cast and why they were picked to play their parts.
Its not just a "chick flick" as many would call it but a realistic world of imaginery and I disagree with the ones who say this trailer sucks and that books should stay books. If a author wants to continue her franchise to the next step then so be it. I am personally glad there is a movie so I can have a visual view of one of my faviorite books. "Haters" there is nothing wrong with the trailer. Its mysterious, it gives just enough to keep us drawn its another x-men a better harry potter and a type of titanic.
All ppl want to do is critisize.They never stop to try to enjoy what the author and or director has given them.It seems to me as if they try to find something to pick on wich is one of the reasons why all the hataration comments have no intellegence to back them up.
But on a positive note the books are addicting and hopefully the movie will be to.I am not bias. I am not a cheesy corny teenager who reads books on all her free time and uses great vocabulary to debate on the internet. I am actualy a angry black girl whos just happy to finaly have a book that gets in her head.

This trailer wouldn't be enough to get me to buy a movie ticket. I'd wait for the dvd. However, the trailer shown during Heroes had enough fight action that I will now be going to see the movie.

I read all the books. After it was SO talked about at Comic Con. Only 3 and 4 were worth reading. Sorry, but I find it irritating when the plot doesn't start till the last 100 pages of a 500 page book!

Hopefully, the movie will do better.
