I can't wait for this movie. I just can't get over Sam L. He's just... everywhere.

Well it did prove something that this is much better trailer than the other teaser trailer. I'll still watch it.

vast improvement over the first trailer, but still lacking in structure and lil way too stylized. the scene with sam jackson and and his hench men in black shirts and white cartooney writing is the most looney tunes lookin to me.

Looks like a cross between Sin City and Sky Captain with a dash of The Crow... Can't wait!

"Film School Rejects," huh? Isn't there a reason for that?

The trailer looks great, the movie looks fun and you Film School Rejects simply suck.

This film looks like a merging of 1950s Noir Comics, Looney Tunes, and a touch of 60s era comedy. I think it looks pretty good and fun. I like the style. This film is like, noir on crack. I think it looks awesome.

Noir on crack perhaps, that or "Who Framed Ro... Sam Jackson"...

I agree with the person who said this looks like a cross between Sin City, Sky Captain and The Crow. That's exactly what I was thinking.

I was also thinking I am sick to bloody HELL of seeing Sam Jackson, playing himself, in another month every single month. Sick to bloody Hell.

I also have read many of the original comics by Eisner and I don't know how this is going to stack up against the expecations of anybody else who has. The Spirit comics and this movie differ more than enough to piss them off, but if it's good hopefully the differences won't matter. I also don't remember The Octopus ever being seen unmasked in the comics, yet he's front and center here with his dumb facial tattoos and sideburns. Which, if you feel about Sam Jackson the way many people do, is a bad thing times two.

ok but why fool around with his origin. he wasn't a cop.
also why change his suit from blue? he always stood out even if the rest of the story was dark he stood aloof.
Action is good, and hey a so-so movie is better than none at all.

I understand the fact of taking a comic book character & changing him for the mass audience, but C'MON!!!
I hate the 50-90's look. It's a rip off of Tim Burton's Batman.
It bugs me at the end when the Spirit says "I'm gonna kill you all kinds of dead"
    No Ebony!
They could have kept the styled look and use the blue suit with white shirt.
His costume, the jacket just looks way to big for his frame, & then there's the fact he's wearing totally black Converse All-Stars. Just C'Mon!

What I would like to know is the music in this trailer. Anyone know?
