I've been waiting for this preview. I saw this movie in a screening awhile ago and absolutely loved it. I already know I'm going to own it on DVD someday and have it listed on my top movies on myspace. haha. That's the same way I felt about Napoleon Dynamite and Stranger Than Fiction when I'd had the fortune to see them way before they were released also. So, yah, its a good movie. Actually I feel like the trailer misses some of the humor and chemistry that's in the movie, though you get a taste of the cool style and charm. And about the voice, I have to tell you, I'm pretty sure thats the same voice that does the narration throughout the movie, ala Royal Tenenbaums style, and it is supposed to be like the people above me wrote, kind of kitschy and reminiscient of a video you'd watch in school that was from the 70s about Science.

I don't know why this trailer voice would even be compared to Don LaFontaine. It sounds *nothing* like him. But it's definitely the wrong voice for this trailer. The music and images would've sufficed. If they *had* to hire a voice, they should've gone with a woman--it would've been a better fit.

If the announcer spoke the words in french, and the film took place in france we'd all be ga-ga-!!! It's in English and I'm ga-ga!!!...about the premise and the format of the trailer.

Yes , thats all I was thinking while watching the trailer " What the f.... is this voiceover" That is not suppose to happen when watching a trailer. There should not be something that distracts from the moment of do I want to see this film?

Its hasnt been since the 80s that a trailer looking like that has been shown, huh? But I am fond of that era and everything of it. Looks like a great movie too.
