Film School Rejects: This Week in Blu-ray: A High Definition Army of Darkness

The Blu-ray release of "The Legend of Drunken Master" does not have the original language? I am sick of not being able to get definitive releases of some Hong Kong martial arts films. Even some of the Dragon Dynasty releases are screwed up.

I already own like 9 copies of Army of Darkness on DVD so I'm going to pass. I will buy and endorse Supernatural. That show is awesome.

I need to finally get a blu-ray player so I can complain about the high cost of the DVD's.

Buy a Playstation 3 for $299.99. One of the best Blu-ray players on the market, will never go out of date thanks to update system, and you can play games.

I concur with Mr. Fure. Go with the PS3 (esp. after the price drop). That's what I use and it is the best player I've seen. And trust me, I've run through plenty of them.

Also, you'd be surprised how cheap you can get some Blu-ray discs now. Many of them are released right around $20-25. And then there are sales on some releases. For example, I bought Patton and Bullit 2 for $30 at Target not too long ago. The deals are out there.

Thanks for the info guys. I am a PC snob though and hate playing console games except at my friends houses during parties and such. My serious gaming I do on my Game PC. Just need to get off my butt and grab a good Sony Blu-Ray player the next time they go on sale.

Oh and the GF is a team lead at Target so I have an even better hook for getting the movies cheaper as well...lol.
