it's says that it's the director's "pick" because there's a line at the end saying that nobody has been officially been excepted by the studio...there was previously talk of the production starting in June....Miller apparently has the cars already built in Australia....while I loved Hardy in Bronson I think Jeremy Renner (Hurt Locker) could make a better Max....I'm indifferent about Theron..she could have like 20mins of screen time and like 5 lines...I think it's just Theron trying to get some press

While I see the connection there, I think the producers will want there film to stand apart from the Resident Evil franchise.
