Now do that with Heath ledger.......please??
  • Adam_Sweeney · 10 months ago
That would be an entirely different magic trick altogether. He will be missed greatly.
  • CaptainReg0981 · 10 months ago
it's back up. Unless if u have the movie you know what scene it is.

You got to most of my selections. I'd probably vote for the Statue of Liberty head flying off from "Cloverfield." Having seen it in all those trailers kind of blunted the impact a bit, but it still became pretty famous/iconic, and was really well-executed in the film.

I agree. Cloverfield should replace Hancock on this list. Everybody talked about that scene.

WTF was that? That was not a coveted good scene in 2008. I thought #9, #8 should move up then #6, #5 then #2 Then #1 those are my top 6. I didn't feel General Ross and Tony Stark Cameo was strong enough for me. It was great to see 2 Marvel charcter in Universe to collide but not a stronger scene as the #5 and #6. Now the Shit scene is totally gross and funny ASS hell. Anyone would like some chocolate syrup on their ice cream. Let's put a smile on that face!!

I sadly saw Hancock in theaters and I honestly never even heard of this "robot" scene until today, so maybe it shouldn't be here.

didn't see hancock, but yeah, cloverfield is being horribly neglected on a lot of these lists. i guess it's because it came out so early, but if you're talking about 2008...how many movies in cinema history have the distinction of being synonymous with a date, 1-18-08, before anybody even knew what the movie was ABOUT?

The scene where the Joker offers his services to Gotham's gangsters was brilliant and worthy of a number 1 ranking. Through his gestures, body language, and speech, Ledger created a truly memorable villain.
The scene with Joker and Batman in the interrogation room is another example of Ledger's brilliance.

Great pick for number one, I remember talking about that scene for some time after I first saw The Dark Knight.

I also recall on opening night when the Booty Sweat commercial started, I could hear multiple people around me exclaiming "What the F**k!" believing they were seeing something real, it was priceless.

The most memorable scene of the year occurred near the end of "Let the Right One In". I won't spoil the scene by describing it, but it was absolutely unforgettable.
  • Indian Stallion · 10 months ago
I second that , it is a scene that lingered in my mind way after the end of the movie
  • Snakes · 10 months ago
    thirded
  • buttlover · 10 months ago
Couple of scenes in the Wrestler are better than any of these, save #1 of course.
  • Chuckles · 10 months ago
    RAM JAM!
  • Keyser Soze Jr · 10 months ago
Kevin Smith? Will Smith? And the advertising of another superhero movie from within a current superhero movie? This is what constitutes the scenes of the year? Either this list is just a big 'inside' joke among the 'writers' of this site or there is a lot of Ether inhalation going on in the back of the uhaul truck that makes up the offices of the rejects of film school.

Woody Allen Pushing the lesbian ticket
    That's a first.
Did you imply there was only one scene. Funny that because the lesbian kiss is all people seem to talk about when the movie is mentioned
  • Tan The Man · 10 months ago
Somehow I didn't expect that lesbian kiss... which was awesome...

The giant robot in Hancock is actually some guy that performs on Sunset beach in L.A. I was out there this summer for work and ran into the guy. He said that he would be in the movie. His entire bit is dressing up and walking around on stilts

Oh, you mean the joke we heard a thousand times in the trailer before the movie came out? HILARIOUS!
