Isadora Duncan, old actress many yrs ago around the 1930s, the long scarf around her neck got caught in the tires of a convertible she was driving & she choked to death.

I want to thank the Publisher of this site for removing the photo of Miss Entwistle. This prompt response and professional attitude is to be commended.

Also, Miss Entwistle's RKO film is not titled, "The 13 Women," it is simply, "Thirteen Women." In addition, her part was not cut from the film--only parts were edited. She is still in the film's first ten minutes.

I sure wouldn't comply with this nutcase's demands. Mr. Zeruk is sure not the "official" biographer of anyone--especially someone who has been dead since 1932. He certainly also has no legal ownership of her images.

We envy the stars and yet there is always another side off camera. I assumed that most deaths in Hollywood with twists were well known (like that of Elvis Presley). The information is quite interesting. Alarming considering the subject matter but nonetheless useful trivia! Love the insight!

Norman Fell...a.k.a. (Mr. Roper) from 'Three's Company' died of a heart-attack in (1994). It was later found that he had chased his dog around the house trying to retreive a lost 'winning' lotto ticket worth several millions of dollars, and the dog refused to give it up. When his body was found, it was reported that the dog was laying next to the fallen actor with the lotto ticket still clinched within it's teeth. Coroner report states that he was succummed to extreme physical activity and the apparent chasing the dog for hours had caused a near anuerism and a sudden heart-attack. Only the dog was enriched on that day; he inherited his entire fortune only to be mauled to death by a rottweiler less than a month later. Is this the....Norman Fell curse?

I need to correct Lady. Mama Cass did not die from a ham sandwich. This is an inaccuracy that has carried over the years and has been debunked. First of all, she was Jewish and would not have had a ham sandwich. But most of all, the coroners office was tired of being questiined on the cause by the media and one of the people there made a cruel joke - that it was a ham sandwich - to get the press off his back. He has stated that he regrets this and the pain it has caused her family as a fat joke on a lovely, talented woman. She simply had a heart attack in her sleep.

I knew Cass was Jewish and never quite understood the ham sandwich thing.
People are so very cruel.
I adored this Lady Cass from the first time I heard her.
She is certainly singing in the House of God.
Her songs were soul stealers.

A few other additions I would have considered for this list would be Phil Hartman and the murder-suicide and Dominique Dunn who was beaten to death on her front lawn by her boyfriend. Possibly Kurt Cobain whose suicide some still ponder as murder? Gianni Vercace who is one of the few celebs to fall prey to a serial killer? Princess Diana and the chaos aurrounding her death?

First of all, I think Dominique Dunn was strangled by her boyfriend and died at the hospital days later (not that it matters). Here's a few more...

Edgar Allan Poe (writer), was found wandering the streets of Baltimore delirious, "in great distress, and... in need of immediate assistance", he was found in somebody else’s clothes and died mumbling "Lord help my poor soul”. The cause of death has been a mystery but some have claimed that it may have been the result of cerebral edema following a drinking binge or syphilis or even rabies.

Marvin Gaye (musician), shot to death by his father (Marvin Sr.) following an argument. The incident happened a day before Marvin’s birthday with a gun that was a gift to Marvin Sr. by Marvin.

Ernest Miller Hemingway (writer), Hemingway had received electroshock therapy to help with depression, and blamed these “treatments” on destroying his memory (therefore ending his writing career). His suicide was particularly gruesome, as he rested the gun butt of the double-barreled shotgun (purchased from Abercrombie & Fitch) on the floor of a hallway in his home, leaned over it to put the twin muzzles to his forehead just above the eyes, and pulled both triggers.

Sherwood Anderson (writer), after swallowing a toothpick at a cocktail party he died of peritonitis on an ocean liner bound for Brazil.

Another tragic story to add is that of Dorothy Stratten the Playboy model and actress. She was killed by her estranged husband, Paul Snider, a low-life hustler who helped create the Chippendale dancers. They made a compelling movie about it called "Star 80".

Involved Charlie Chaplin figured in the mysterious events surrounding the death of the producer, aboard the yacht of William Randolph Hearst in 1924, one of Hollywood's greatest mysteries. A fictionalized version of these events is depicted in Peter Bogdanovich's 2001 film The Cat's Meow. The precise circumstances of Ince's death is still not known.

One of the strangest celebrity deaths I'd ever heard of was the murder of screenwriter Robert Lees who was once blacklisted by the McCarthy era. He lived until he was ninety-one and then was decapitated by a complete stranger who was high on meth. The stranger, with Lees's head still in his hand, then goes next door and kills Lees' neighbour in a similarly gruesome fashion.

What about Michael Hutchinson? He died while enjoying a eh...well making friends with himself.
Bobby Fuller who had a hit with the song I fought the law, was found in his car. His fingers were broken, he had broken ribs and had asphyxiated on a half a can of diesel. His death was rulled suicide. His family have repeatedly called for an investigation into his death after rumours circulated that he was having an affair with a well known mafiosa's moll. The investigating officer was accused of being bribed by the mafia to cover the real cirumstances up. No investigation, no blame. God Bless America!

These are horrible deaths since we all know that they are know celebrity. I guess sometimes there life is really not perfect as what we think they do . sad :(
