Film School Rejects: The Reject Report Experiences The Revenge of the Fallen

Well, I REALLY anticipated this movie and was let down. Don't get me wrong, there was a lot of elements improved upon. People have raved about the CGI. I felt that the lighting was VERY un-natural in several of the scenes and some of the work just seemed rushed and unfinished to me. One of the other things that really bothered me was the damn sexual jokes. Don't get me wrong, I laughed at a handful of them...but a majority were overdone and worn out. Especially the part when Wheelie humped Mikela's leg in the boneyard.

I felt that this film could have been edited by 20 minutes and still have been VERY effective. I'm going to hold off final judgement after I view it in IMAX this weekend.

Poor word of mouth is going to hurt this film, much like Terminator Salvation. I could be wrong though. I must say, I did really like Prime's aggressiveness. That was refreshing.

I definitely agree. Terminator 4 had a lot of bad word of mouth, and domestically, it has kinda bombed. Wolverine didn't have great word of mouth, and it dropped nearly 70% in its second weekend. But Star Trek, Up, and The Hangover all had great word of mouth, and they've held on to the box office really well. There'll be the teenage guys who come see this movie just to see a bunch of shit blow up, but I can't really see this movie marketing all that well to any other demographic.

$200,000,000 and counting. And that's just domestic.

I liked the movie and have seen it twice.
I don't know exactly what the critics were expecting.
It's a Michael Bay film based on a Hasbro toyline!
    What do you want? Shakespeare?
