Film School Rejects: The Number 23

I think you met half the mark. The numer 23 was, well thought out, and you could still enjoy it because you weren't having to think about what was going on all the time; it wasnt a movie where you had to work throughout. I think this was Jim Carey at his best, comparable to his acting job in the Truman Show, also a great Jim Carey movie. i liked the ending of the movie, I did think it was untheatrical, but rather a real take on what a real family would do in this situation. An they didn't drag on the theme of the "number 23" throughout the whole movie as you had mentioned, that wasn't the point of the movie, and It was only portrayed that way for maybe the first half of the movie.

I think everyone was expecting scary thriller from this movie, at least that is the impression that I got from watching the trailers. Thats where they went wrong, it was one of those movies advertised to be something completely different from what the movie actually was.
