Film School Rejects: The Man Who Knew Too Much

I think it's in that book of interviews with Truffaut where Hitchcock laments that the Albert Hall scene could've been much more suspenseful if the general public could read music. Haha.

This is another Hitchcock movie I haven't seen in so long; I vaguely recall it as being a sort of letdown, which I believe is also the reputation it has. I'll have to check it out again if it warrants a B+!

You're right about Truffaut and Hitchcock. Hitch was proud of the film, and Truffaut admitted to really liking it, but it is a bit of a letdown. It's definitely worth a look, and it is better than it's reputation allows. I just found Day to be a little too plain for the film.
