July 18th, 12:20 p.m. I predict: Fri $80 mil, Sat 97 mil, and Sun 74 mil which equals $251 million. All just on opening weekend. It maybe quite much, but who knows... it just might happen.

It will definitely break some records... considering all the hype regarding Heath Ledger's performance *and* the film itself, as well as the fact that Warner Bros. had to create a 6 am showing because there were too many fans who were going to miss the midnight showings, yeah... it will *definitely* go INCREDIBLY well.

Me? I'll watch it on the 17 th... yup, I live in Peru, and the movie is going to be released on the 17th, not the 18th... we, an underdeveloped country, are going to watch the Dark Knight before the fans in the US... isn't that great? =D

I won't be taking off any work to see this movie but I'm definately going to try to see it opening weekend. I can't imagine it doing less than 80million opening weekend.
Too bad Heath Ledger isn't around to enjoy the success. Although his death added to the hype, this movie would still be a huge success. The early viral marketing started before his death and was planned long before the movie was even finished.
    Can't wait to see this!

Another reason the United States has to be jealous of Peruvians!

@ bmc, so you'll be bringing your mother to the movie with you? That's sweet.

I'll probably see it in a couple weeks when the theaters aren't so crowded.
