Dave, I really don't know. I have no rational explanation for my lack of major interest. Don't get me wrong, I'm looking forward to seeing the movie, but I'm just not going crazy for some reason - like I usually do with Fincher.

Maybe I secretly hate Brad Pitt?

Anyway, it's good to see that a ton of people are hyped about this.

But seriously I am also a huge Fincher/Blanchett/Pitt fan and this can't come quick enough. I get what you mean about the Oscar stuff but that's studio BS not Fincher and on reading his new interview in Empire this seemed like a passion project and he said he'd been circling it since '92. What else has failed to set you alight if you don't mind my asking?

I read Fitzgerald's story years ago and always thought it could be a fascinating film.
I'm looking forward to seeing how they pull it off and how Pitt plays the role.

any more excitement yet?

I think this movie looks incredible and I'm actually devising a plan to either convince family to all go to the movie theatre on Christmas, or to sneak away myself.. I'm really pumped about this and loved the short story (even though I'm sure there will be obvious changes for the screen).
