Well, never mind. I'm never going to see this.
Anyway, my question is this:
Does she already have the haircut when her fiance is killed? Or does she get the haircut after?
In other words, is she a lesbian in the closet when her fiance is killed, or does she decide she's a lesbian afterwards?

yeah she definitely becomes more manly in clothing and style post her finances death. In the opening scenes she's more girly looking like a Meg Ryan type that is until she becomes a bad a--

She has the short hair at the beginning if I remember correctly, though short hair is an old fashioned way of saying that you're off the market. So her being engaged in a way shows why she would have the short hair at the start. However, Tara is right in her observation of her becoming more "manly" in clothing and style as the film goes on, namely in that she gets a black leather jacket, which we all know symbolizes business time.
