Film School Rejects: The 13 Best Films of Sundance 2009

I want to see absolutely all of them. Guess that says a lot about just how much I trust FSR. Still, I think the sad part is that most of these movies will never even be shown outside the US. That leads me to a question: which of these movies do you (Neil) think might get a proper distribution IN the US? Maybe even a wide distribution?

Thanks for placing your trust in us. We'll do what we can to keep steering you in the right direction.

As for the distribution question -- there are a few that have already been picked up (Black Dynamite, Adam, 500 Days, Moon and An Education) and a few others that are criminally being left on the table. Though, I have a feeling that these are all good enough to find a home somewhere. Stay tuned to our site though, as we'll be tracking them throughout the year and providing updates as they are sold/released.

    :)

Did you guys have a chance to see Sin Nombre? I might have included it...
  • Neil Miller · 9 months ago
Did not see Sin Nombre but I did have to sit there and listen to Erik Davis from Cinematical rave about it for about an hour -- so I'm looking forward to checking it out ASAP. I too have a feeling that it would have ended up on this list.

Don't Let Me Drown's synopsis, led me to think there could be a place for it, a little off of my list of the 10 Movies The Hood Loves The Most. This is a different list, from the 'hood's perspective. Not just hood movies like so many other lists. I will have to see Don't Let Me Drown, but for now, enjoy the list...
