Film School Rejects: Terminator Salvation Footage Invokes Visions of Transformers

Nuts, they cut the scene where optimus prime sticks his plasma sword right through the belly of that giant terminator

It looks like McG is pulling a Michael Bay. It may have the gritty look, but there wasn't enough footage to make a solid judgement other than "cool, action!". I'm still wary of this turning out well even with Bale on board.

This is by far my most anticipated film of next year. Just ahead of Up.

Definitely looks to be one of the high points of next year. And even in this brief glimpse, the giant robot was cooler than anything in Transformers.

It gave me a boner, that's how cool it was.

LOL!!! Would you like a complimentary moist towelette?

Nah, I just want to stay in the moment. Thanks though.

With transformers being so recent it does bring that to mind, but it's hard to say if I would have thought of that if it wasm't already mentioned. That being said, it looked cool, and I think this movie will be decent.

Giant robots that walk around scooping people up,,,,, you would have thought Reese would have mentioned that to Sarah Connor in the first film.

I mean shit a 100 ft tall Robot wouldn't be very subtle for sneeking up on humans.

This entire film (IMO) is only going for the visuals. The stories gotta be crap.....

Any producer that said, "we gotta have a Giant Terminator in this one baby!" Is clearly a retard that has nothing but stupid dumb ideas..... I think I'll be walking out of this film pissed, come next year.

Can't wait to bash McDonald on this.
Possibly him and JJ Apeman as well.....

There's little doubt in my mind that T4 will be able to surpass the third film, which more or less copy/pasted all the elements of the second film, only weaker, but I'm curious to see how this new one will hold up compared to Cameron's second Terminator film.

Looks good. I love Terminator trilogy or what ever it is. It helps that I have a mrush on Christian Bale. I have lots of mrushs. Is that gay? Whoa...am I gay? Na....

Well, at least one scene in that trailer was shot in the same building as a shot from Transformers, which might well account for some of your sense of deja view. (Decomissioned train station in Albuquerque.)
