Film School Rejects: Terminator 4 Terminated?

I can only think that it may have something to do with a possible SAG strike. I'm not too informed on Industry news as I'd like. But wasn't it true that productions had to wrap by the beginning of the summer once contract negotiations start?

About McG, that sucks if that was the reason they greenlit this project. If Michael Bay is "awesome". McG is the frat guy that yells "sweet" all the time and uses his MP3 playlist while editing. His stuff looks cool but not much ideas behind it. I'd rather have anyone else direct. Chris Nolan or Terry Gilliam might have more brains to do James Cameron justice.

SAG negotiations have begun, that could be possible. Productions go into delay and off-set starts alllllllll the time. The guy could very well have 2-4 weeks of free time if one thing gets bumped. We dont know who he was or what he did, but if he's someone who does stage work, a change in shooting schedule could completely alter his schedule by weeks.

I'm 99% percent sure this rumor is BS.
If its true it should come out in the press (Variety) this week.

And the SAG talks are ongoing a film like this wouldn't slow down or even shut down when the possiblities are strong that this upcoming strike won't happen.
