Boiling Point: Twilight
My opinion of Heath Ledger playing the joker has also changed. I was somewhat leery of him playing my favorite villain. When I watched the trailer I was convinced that he will make a GREAT joker! His laugh in particular impressed me. I think he will honestly scare people to some degree.
I was not fortunate enough to see the prologue.
Ehh... not to thrilled... I liked the last movie but when I discovered they were doing the Joker again I was done with it. He's already been done... and was done well... Jack Nicholson did a wonderful job capturing the colorful comic book likeness of the Joker... what's up with Hollywood wanting to make comic books realistic?
Talking Point #2: We got to see Heath Ledger finally in action as The Joker. Has your opinion of that casting choice changed any?
Not really... I still think there were better choices out there... Heath was chosen because he's a golden boy in Hollywood right now with Brokeback under his belt.
Talking Point #3: If you saw the 6-minute IMAX prologue, what did you think?
I am still not liking the whole idea of doing the Joker... there are plenty of other "could-be-real" characters in Batman that can be used. I wish they'd move on to them instead of the same old villians over and over. I was thrilled with the first movie and seeing the Scarecrow in action and especially Ras Al Ghoul.
Ledger steals this screen.
