Of course the magic of the three leading actors accounts for much and can not truly be quantified so I won't try here.
Ghostbusters works on all cinematic levels as well. Its timing is flawless, its not too long or too short, it builds to an apex at the peak of the last third and delivers a very satisfying climax with all that marshmallow cream.
P.S. I have to say I think I enjoyed the second one just a tiny bit better, and that would be because in my opinion the actors were able to loose them selves in the rolls they all ready new this time around...
But that's just my 2 cents.
