Beverly Hills Cop IV? Boondock Saints: Never Going to be Made?
On second thought, I hear there's a remake of Captain Blood coming scheduled for then, and if they can get Errol Flynn's body reanimated for it, that would. Be. Awesome.
chows original films that have never been released in the u.s, i am both happy and
shocked when i found out that chow will be directing the green hornet.
chow's humor relies on slapstick humor, the kind of humor that doesnt really appeal to
u.s audiences, and combine that with the fact that chow cant really speak english and has
never done a large u.s film might result in a rather good movie for hk film watchers, but
end up confusing and rather boring since they dont understand the kind of humor we
enjoy
and for everyone whos ever watched kung fu hustle or shaolin soccer, you might want to
watch some of chows original films (if you can ever find them) and see the large
difference in comedic talent that he has compared to Sandler and Ferrell
Irish and have lived outside Boston so how I never saw this is astounding.
Evan Goldberg making Green Hornet - What?
Seth Rogen - Funny, overexposed
Seth Rogen making Green Hornet - WTF?
Stephen Chow - Awesome
Stephen Chow making Green Hornet - HELL YES!
Stephen Chow, Evan Goldberg, and Seth Rogen making Green Hornet - What?
I have serious reservations about this film, but adding Chow to the mix can only make it better. I thought that Kung Fu Hustle was virtually perfect story telling. I was honestly a little bit in awe after watching it and that rarely happens to me. (I hate everything, remember?)
