    Cuba Gooding Jr?
  • Isamu · 6 months ago
Yeah, he will do good as him.

    Terence Howard,
    no questions asked!!!!

besides, it's not like he's doing Iron Man 2 anymore!!
  • Isamu · 6 months ago
Yes, Terence Howard would be a better choice of doing him!

    Jaime Foxx!
  • Isamu · 6 months ago
Maybe not but I still love Jaime Foxx a whole lot!

I'd choose Terrence Howard over Jamie Fox and Cuba in a heartbeat.

I'm up in the air with the actor. But the director should be Spike Lee. Malcolm X should've won an Academy Award.

Jeffrey Wright. He's already played Dr. King (in an HBO film I believe) and he was great. I can't imagine anyone else doing a better job; the man's a great and underrated actor.

I'm really excited about this. To see Stephen, do his trademark attention to details, as he did in the movie The Color Purple. Priceless! Spike Lee would never get the capital to pull this one off. He would have to hit the heavy players as he did in Malcolm X.

I say Philip Seymore Hoffman. He can do anything!

Is Malcolm Jamal Warner still around? Always thought he looked like Dr. King a bit...

But in all seriousness, this is where I would cast an unknown. It worked perfectly for Notorious with Jamal Woolard. Casting someone like Jamie Foxx really takes away from the story you're trying to tell.

    Jeffrey Wright

I actually think Howard is a great choice.

An unknown would be best for casting, but if not then my vote goes to Jaime Foxx, his ability to mimc and embody people on screen is phenomenal. Cuba is a definite no, he simply doesn't have the chops to pull off a role like this one, he's not a character actor.

Denzel Washington. Brings home the Oscar garunteed. I actually know for a fact he'll be cast as MLK jr.
  • sunny · 6 months ago
I am sure, Spielberg will make it a point not to cast Denzel Washington, even though he can pull of MLK Jr. Besides he played Malcolm X.
but still Denzel would be good i think, because no one can deliver the phenomenal 'I have a dream' speech with style other than him.

    +1 for Jeffrey Wright.

Especially since he already played Dr. King before (which might hurt his chances but anyway):

I still vote for Spike as director! I think he could raise the needed funds to pull it off. Nothing against Spielberg at all. Love most of his work.
