if anyone has read the shortstory that Candyman was based on, making him caucasian kidof screws it up a bit. I'm willing to bet that Clive has little to do with this one...

They better not make him caucasian or thats just dumb & as far as another nightmare on elm street i don't think it will work unless they get someone with a destinct look because I couldn't see anyone besides Robert. Either way hollywood is just getting pathetic with all these shitty remakes. Do we really need to see another Jason that seems just like Texas remake. & now Jason can run, wtf?

The worst idea I've heard so far. Candyman still holds up both visually and musically. I really feel they should not touch this movie. Also making Candyman white is a slap in the face to both Clive Barker and the people who went through hell to get the first Candyman off the ground. To understand what I mean, you have to check out the special features on the Candyman DVD.

The Candyman character in Clive Barker's original short story is in fact white. It was the movie that changed most of the story and made him black.
