Film School Rejects: Someone Was Watching the ‘Watchmen’ Last Night

I was never convinced by watchmen adaptation as I believed the comic to unfilmable. However, the description above does suggest that it may be a good film. Also I like the prospect of a theatrical version of the watchmen containing a Black Freighter short woven into the storyline.

From what I have heard at least the Tales of the Black Freighter are either going to be a special feature on the DVD or released as a seperate film on DVD, like what was done with Gotham Knight.

I am filled with hope that the hype is as good as the finished project, in the same vein as LOTR.

This film is going to bring it in a way nobody expected, I suspect. God bless you, Zack Snyder for making a lengthy Watchmen film. Cutting corners would amount to a horrible adaptation.

Y can't this film be 3 hours long, Peter Jackson seems to be able to make 3-hour long movies!!
Anyway, like everyone else i am really excited. The opening credits sound interesting.

Well, 2 hours and 43 minutes is only 17 minutes away from 3 hours. I'm sure if factor out Mason's book, Rorshach's mental report and stuff like that all that is left is the action and dialogue scenes. I bet with just that they could do it almost word for word onto the screen.
