Twilight Saga: New Moon Sets Records, Hauls in $140 million
Brosnan
Moore
Dalton
in my opinion
I havn't seen Lazenby's Bond, they must have skipped that one during the Bond marathons on TBS and Spike. and i think it's too early to tell on Craig, i havn't seen QofS yet, i enjoyed Casino Royale, but he still doesn't look like Bond to me.
Craig
Brosnan
Lazenby
Dalton
Moore
Don't get me wrong. I like Moore. But I really didn't like much of the Moore era films. They were too campy for my taste.
He's the Tom Baker of James Bond films.
(That's a Doctor Who reference btw).....
"The Spy Who Loved Me" was the best Bond film.... "To Live and Let Die" was the second best.... :-)
Craig represents the "new series" just like the (New Doctor Who) series has changed the look of "Dr Who".
Craig is great but Moore has a firm place in the Bond Legacy,,,,,,
But #1 will always be Sean Connery!
Connery doesn't just get credit of being the best Bond because he was the first, he gets it because he was most able to connect the darker aspect of Bond with the playboy aspect of the character that truly realized the "Gentleman Killer".
Lazenby and Dalton often get the short end of the stick when it comes to their portrayal of Bond, but they pretty much created the style that Daniel Craig is currently perfecting, that of a Bond who is as equally comfortable strangling you with his bare hands as he is with screwing your girl after he has strangled you with his bare hands.
Brosnan was a pretty damn good Bond (as evidenced with "Goldeneye"), but by the time "Die Another Day" came around, he was an updated Roger Moore complete with corny cliche's and outlandish tech (invisible car? ice castles?)
Craig should defnitely be on this list because he singlehandedy saved the franchise and restored the good name of Commander James Bond. Were it not for him, 007 would have been the bitch of the OTHER two JB's who were kicking ass and taking names: Jack Bauer and Jason Bourne. He stripped Bond of all the gimmicks, gave him heart and purpose, and brought the man into the 21st century.
He was camp, sleazy and comical. That´s exactly how Bond should be played - in my humble, but expert, opinion.
