  • km · 1 year ago
    shatner needs to lose 50 pounds
  • Davids · 1 year ago
    ..are you kidding me? You JUST ruined one of the best aspects of star trek for me. The hell...I didn't know kirk died and you ruined it...try to put spoiler tags or something on your articles when you do this :\
  • MarrowMan · 1 year ago
    Are you serious? spoiler tags for a nearly 14 year old film??? Why not put up spoiler tags for Citizen Kane while you're at it! It was his sled!
  • Kane · 1 year ago
    or Citizen Kane while you’re at it! It was his sled!
    --
    That's great. I was going to watch that some.
  • Davids · 1 year ago
    HIS FUCKING SLED? aww you dick >:(

    Thing is, just because its 18 doesn't mean its not new to certain people. What should be the time limit for spoiler tags? What if i told someone that leonitus(sp) dies at the end of 300, that takes A LOT away from the main character.
  • Tek · 1 year ago
    I've totally never seen Citizen Kane, lol.

    But a spoiler on a movie like Generations that is that old isn't uncommon. Oh, and there were originally scenes where he lived and met up with Spock ;).
  • Davids · 1 year ago
    Ment to say 14 year old film* instead of 18..i was thinking something else and i ended up typing it
  • Nate · 1 year ago
    David - How can you consider it a spoiler to give away part of the plot to a 13 year old movie?
  • SiDz · 1 year ago
    You fuckers need Jesus with the quickness. >_<
  • Davids · 1 year ago
    Nate-

    ...because..it S P O I L E D the ending/and or main plot twist for me...Isn't that how you classify a spoiler?

    "1. Spoiler

    When someone reveals a previously unknown aspect of something which you likely would have rather learned on your own."

    Urban dictionary says that.
  • Dan · 1 year ago
    @km: You only noticed that now? He needed to lose 50 pounds in STIV!
  • Karelia · 1 year ago
    David -

    1) You can't expect people to tiptoe around the fact that you haven't seen Star Trek VII. If it really mattered that much to you, why haven't you seen it already?

    2) Anyone who didn't know Leonidas dies in the end of 300 needs to read a damned history book. Anyone who's read a 10th-grade history book should know that every Greek, save the messenger, dies at the Battle of Thermopylae.
  • Rick Brown · 1 year ago
    Generations doesn't count since it had Patrick Stewart in it. Star Trek VII is not a part of "Original Star Trek" and can be disregarded.

    I hate spoilers! I had someone spoil several movies in one go for me awhile back. Like Bruce is already dead in The 6th Sense, and the The Village where you find out its a bunch of escapists living in the modern age. Made me so angry - at least I found out that the girl was a dude in the Crying Game by myself. oh, and Snape is Harry Potters real dad.

    Spoilers?

    The whale gets Ahab.
    The Maltese Falcon is a statue.
    Godot never arrives.
    Vader is Luke's father; double-spoiler, Leia is his sister.
    It's all Dorothy's dream.
    It's a dream of an autistic child looking at a snow globe.
    Norman is Mother.
    Apollo 13 gets back safely.
    The police sergeant did it (he wasn't really a policeman).
    He's really a robot/android. [Covers a whole bunch of movies.]
    Ilsa leaves with Victor.
    Pitt is Norton's imagination.
    Corelone's daughter gets killed.
    Dumbledore is really dead.
    It's in the Louvre.

    There, life's mysteries have all been revealed. Any reason to keep living?
  • dr-machismo · 1 year ago
    I would like the movie to be with shatner.
    And also a director cut without him.
  • Lovin-it · 1 year ago
    @dr-steve

    Heh, I love it! You made me snort coffee out my nose from laughing at your post. :-)

    As addenda:

    Soylent Green is people
    She actually has a penis
    The Judge (aka the fourth little indian) didn't really die
    Chance the Gardener is actually the son of God
    She didn't smother a chicken; it was her baby
    Her baby is none other than the Devil's son

    And titanic sinks.

    He might make a cameo though. Shatner as the janitor?
  • Kevin Carr · 1 year ago
    How's this for a spoiler...

    Jesse James is assassinated by Robert Ford at the end of "The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford."
  • JQ · 1 year ago
    It would be pretty easy to have Kirk in the film. They could make a very short frame tale whereby Kirk and Spock are having a flashback. They could even leave out the explanation and make it funny.

    Spock: "Aren't you supposed to be dead, Admiral?"

    Kirk: "We'll talk about that later. Remember the time ..."

    i think a little bit of growing up may be in order here. Jeez Loueez, why are all of you 'so-called' banging on one another. Definitely screwing with the Prime Directive. And Heck, I'm not even a Trekkie
  • me · 1 year ago
    shatner should come back as young kirk's father or grandfather.
  • Bob · 1 year ago
    LOL!! Loved all of the "spoilers", and yes, dude, "Generations" was released in theaters a LONG time ago. I think it might have even been released on BETA tape! Yah, it's THAT old. Lol. And...

    * The boat sinks
    * Boomer is a Cylon (I could list the others, but figure that I should be careful since the pilot is only 4 years old... someone might bitch...)
    * She's a replicant
    * The kid sees him because he's dead
    * They're on Earth (This one can cover "Planet of the Apes" (original) as well as that flop "The Village")
    * V'Ger is Voyager 6
    * Khan dies
    * So does Spock
    * But relax, he comes back in the next flick
    * They destroy the ring
    * The rebels win
    * Voyager gets home
    * Data dies (but relax, he can come back as B-4)
    * Thelma & Louise go off of the cliff
    * She's a dude
    * They're not flashbacks, he's dying. ("Jacob's Ladder")
    * Yes, there really is a Santa Claus....

    Sorry, I guess I got off track with the subject. For my 2 cents... if they're trying to "re-imagine" the original Trek, then I don't think that any of the original actors should be involved, at least not playing in their original roles. Take notes from "Battlestar Galactica". They did a FANTASTIC job when they started over. But, with that said, they also didn't have almost 40 years of "canon" to deal with. It's a double edged sword with Trek. There's now so much "canon" out there that it's hard not to contradict what's already been established, even though several episodes/movies do just that. I'm willing to see what Abrams does with it. Hopefully Paramount will actually spend money on this one and give us a FEATURE FILM and not another television episode in the guise of a movie.

    'Davids' - "because..it S P O I L E D the ending/and or main plot twist for me…Isn’t that how you classify a spoiler?"

    Tough doo doo! It's your own STUPID fault for not having watched a movie that's been around nearly a whole generation. What are you? The world's busiest man? You obviously aint no Trekkie, so being a casual layman of the series, I doubt it really matters that much to you. So stop being such an attention seeker, it's not OUR fault Mummy never dished enough love out!

    Back to the topic. However they do it, Canon out of the window or not, get the Shatman in this film! He's Kirk....he is GOD!
