Film School Rejects: Seven ‘Caprica’ Clips Remind Us That Battlestar Galactica is Over

You know what my problem is with prequels - the condensed time frame. 50 Years? That's all it takes to go from No Cylons to Cylons to an Uprising to a prolonged War. Seems kind of short. The humans must have been real big dicks to the Cylons considering they went from servants to destroying humanity in a very, very short period of time.

I had the same problem with the Star Wars prequels. They were set like 30 years before A New Hope. So the Galactic Senate existed 30 years before ANH. About 10 years later, the Galactic Senate is turned into the Galactic Empire. So the great, evil Empire only ruled for 20 years. Ridiculous.

Thank you, I was beginning to think I was the only one with issues over that! The way I was interpreting it, the centurians are on the cusp of being created, or maybe some form of centurian already exists but not one with a personality?? 40 years are spent in "peace" with a treaty, so that leaves 10 years in which to develop a massive cylon population with fully conscious personalities, have them become aware of oppression and rise up against their masters and then fight a full scale (and supposedly LONG) war... I'm amazed the final five got back in time! Not to mention that one of the big plot points mentioned for this series was that the inventor of the cylons wanted to find a way for his daughter to live on, so he puts her personality into a cylon body... When I read that the first time I thought skinjob but that doesn't really fit the timeline as we now understand it, does it!

Aside: Can centurians speak? (either old models or new ones)
