I still prefer the books to the show. He was having the perfect "parent" problem even before he married Rita in Dearly Devoted Dexter. Also the fact the Cody is a sociopath like Dexter in the books would make for awesome TV, but apparently a child serial killer in training just wouldn't be excepted.

I see what your saying, I just feel that with Debra finding out in the book it kind of lost a bit of zing in that relationship. Love the books and show though so it's tough.
