Right, its better if he doesn't even try.

As long as Ennis scripts, the film will be in good hands I believe. As for actors...
    Jessie Custer: Dylan McDermott
    Tulip: Elizabeth Banks
    Cassidy: Robert Carlyle
Saint of Killers: Tommy Lee Jones
    Herr Starr: Patrick Stewart

If it gets more outsiders to read the excellent comic, i dont care.

Is Sam Mendes is out of control? Definitely. Should he be directing a live action version of Preacher? Oh yea. Will it be one million times better than anything Mark Steven Johnson has ever done? You better believe it. Why am I asking questions and then answering them? Cuz I like to party.

I'm going to get crapped on for saying this, but i don't think Preacher ended well. Once the three main characters went their separate ways, when Jesse became a sheriff, well, the story just sputtered out (in my opinion). It felt like Garth Ennis took the characters on a little side trip, each doing there own thing, which would have been interesting for few issues. But then this tangent kept going and going and going, and he never got them back to where they were, and the series never really finished all that it had started. I felt that the last few issues, where he finally did bring the characters back together again, were rushed and forced. It was as if he had a deadline to finish the series by a certain number (wasn't it 60 issues?) and had to scramble to "wrap it up in time". Anyway, that's just my opinion. I lived the series, I loved how it started, i loved the characters, the humour, the violence, the concepts and stories, I was just disappointed in how it ended. - - That said, a movie, not even a trilogy could do this series justice. I want to see it as a long running TV series. That's my "want". Thanks ~~ Senseless Babble
