I heard about this film on MTV and I'm looking forward to it. Rupert Grint is one of the few reasons why I still watch the HP films.

Great piece! I'm so excited for him and glad more and more people are recognizing his talent everyday! Go Rupert! :)
  • Ani · 1 year ago
He looks stunning!!! When do we get to know the release date? Can't wait to see him do something else than the hp films.
  • Tao · 1 year ago
Rupert is amazing! I'm so proud of him, and he looks great. This movie is going to be
something else, along with Wild Target. :)
  • Meli · 1 year ago
I'm extremely curious to see if he can shed the "Ron" persona. I don't see him as playing a thug, I giggle at the thought, but that's not to say I'm not rooting for him.
  • hesok · 1 year ago
wow, really sounds intriguing. he really has gotten better looking, hasn't he? oh, well i hope this project does well. he really seems like a nice down-to-earth guy who has finally gotten a little spotlight shined on him. good luck rupert.
  • michaeldance · 1 year ago
Wow! Somebody should cast him as a young Tim Roth, judging from that picture.
  • Sunbird · 1 year ago
This movie coupled with his previous award winning film Driving Lessons and the now filming Wild Target plus HP Half Blood Prince is sure to make people realize how incredibly talented this man truely is. Not only has he always been the true talent behind the trio and the primary reason I still watch the movies he's matured in a delicious and level grounded way. Equus is nothing compared to the real ability this gentleman has and is showing us.

  • kathe · 1 year ago
Grrr it annoys me when Americans. Grow up on the streets you
  • kathe · 1 year ago
erm didn't mean to press enter then. oh well, ha.

what i was going to say was, why does being american mean you're immediately more qualified to talk about anything gangs-related? its a wee bit patronising. did you yourself grow up in the area of l.a. you talk about? why do i doubt it?

seeing as you're not going to bother looking into the film you're reporting about i'll do it for you: the film cherrybomb's actually about northern ireland. which, if you've ever seen the news, you will know is a fairly 'badass' place. and not in a phoney hookers-and-drugs cliche way. more of a bombs and shootings and being targetted for your religious and political beliefs kind of way. which i think is probably a fairly admirable role for the lad to ake on. so, with all due respect stf eh. thankyou.
  • hesok · 1 year ago
you know, kathe really does have a point. if you knew anything of irish history, you would know that belfast was indeed a very violent and dangerous place. lets hope the past hostilities in northern ireland will just be that, past history.

anyway, you come off as being rather flip about this whole project. let's hope his performance will be a real eye-opener for you in a positive way. i'm not sure if his only reason for choosing this part is to distance himself from ron weasly. he may merely want to challenge himself more than warner bros. has allowed him in the potter films. you know grow and to improve on his craft. try something different. it's a thought now, isn't it?
    thanks.

I definitely will check this out. It is cool to see the actors from Harry Potter branch out. There is life after Hogwarts after all!
  • Sophie · 1 year ago
Badass indeed! That picture alone makes me intrigued. He looks about 180 degrees from
Ron Weasley there. I'm glad to see him branching out and taking on what looks to be a very
different role. He's really talented, and I expect when the HP movies come to an end, we
won't have heard the last from this guy.
  • ~W*_*~ · 1 year ago
Hoho..he will be a thug in this movie....hohoho...interesting..
  • angel90 · 1 year ago
