That part about getting rid of Synger is blasphimy. Sure SR was lacking in the plot department but Synger knows how to shoot a movie, even though it mostly mimiced most of what Donner had already done, but still it was an OK movie despite alot of cgi shots he could've used Routhe for, but hey.
I say keep Synger and Routhe because the next supe movie WILL have alot more action in it and we'll get to see Superman use his abilities abit more instead of spying on Lois Lane (Kate Bosworth) in her house. Get rid of Bosworth and recast Lois Lane, someone who has abit more attitude and can make the part believable. Back to Synger...he can direct action scenes good, I'm sure with Superman Returns:Again, we'll see waaaaay more action and Routhe will have to dig deeper as an actor to make his Superman alil bit more edgey.
Superman Returns:Again is not the title but what would you call it?
Like THE DARK KNIGHT call it THE MAN OF STEEL.

Superman was stabbed with Kryptonite and survived, STABBED! Superman returns was as boring as X-Men, and X2 did little to improve that series. It's blasphemy to say Ratner made X3 good, but I said it, so there. Brian Singer has no style, NO style, unlike Donner. Even McG gave Charlie's Angels some energy to get me to watch it, twice! In that sentence you described a few of the reasons why Singer should go. How can you say he should stay when you acknowledge that the plot was abysmal (Singer OKed the plot and hand picked the writers) and most of his directing was derivative.
Singer sucks.

Another reason Singer should go is he allowed his politics to play a role in the film. He was arrogant enough to alter, " Truth, Justice and the American way." to " Truth Justice and all that other stuff." That might not seem that significant to some, but it sure as hell lit me and my pals on fire. SINGER, let me remind you, it is a privlege to captain this franchise, not a soapbox for your pathetic anti-American Hollywood non-sense, as subtle as it was, we are on to you. The new P.C. Superman must make his rounds in Europe and other parts of the world, so why? We don't offend and seem too introspective? LEAVE SUPERMAN ALONE, REVISIONIISTS!

AGREE! Superman in this movie was waay to Clark Kent like. That alone ruined the movie for me. I don't think that's Routh's fault though, he did a good job. If (& I hope they do!) they make another superman movie.. I really hope they break out of the WB style Superman & make him more REAL, likeable, & Superman-like.. instead of a super-powered version of Clark Kent. Oh, I agree about Lois too.. she lacked character, strength & stubbornness.
