I'll have to check this out - any reason to watch a rat pack movie.

Suggestion for a future Old Ass Movies - Kelly's Heroes. I don't like war movies as a rule, but Kelly's Heroes kicked so much ass. Clint Eastwood, Telly Savalas, Don Rickles, Donald Sutherland... need I go on? Ok one more - Carol O'Connor, for frick's sake!

Ehhh ... I've always liked Robin and the 7 Hoods better. It's probably of a conventional musical so I can tolerate that film's relaxed pacing more. Plus, Robin and the 7 Hoods also features a three-part musical number with Dino, Frankie and Bing Crosby. Fucking awesome. Ocean's Eleven focuses a little too much on the Pack just hanging around, shooting the shit. Diffr'nt strokes, etc.

Even though this film gets no cred, I've always really enjoyed it. It is filled with stars of the high-ball era, not just the Rat Pack, and has a great ending. Style and smooth oozes off the screen.
