Film School Rejects: Ripley’s Believe it or Not: Alien Five?

I thought they would meet and help Call's cyborg friends who sent her to kill Ripley the last movie...Since they landed on Earth it would be set there...the first Alien movie based on Earth....it would be Blade Runner meets Alien hopefully...then have a final film where James Cameron returns and we get a good look at the Alien home world....

Also Weaver has been talking Alien 5 with Ridley Scott in the press for years now...I think every time she's been asked about Alien she mentions it...I think this following statement proves that Fox has no idea what they are doing with their franchises...this is from AICN (Feb 2006)...If they're turning down ideas from Cameron I don't know if they're taking Ridley Scott into consideration

JAMES CAMERON: Yeah. Ridley and I talked about doing another ALIEN film and I said to 20th Century Fox that I would develop a 5th ALIEN film. I started working on a story, I was working with another writer and Fox came back to me and said, "We've got this really good script for ALIEN VS PREDATOR and I got pretty upset.

Frankly I could care less about the Alien home world. It is a hive mentality which means they are pretty much all drones with select queens and males for reproduction.

If you want to shake up the genre have Ripley stumble upon a Predatore and let them sort out which is prey and which is the true Predatore.

Alien: a creature not from the place it is in.
Just because it might not feature the xenomorphs doesn't mean it isn't an alien film.

No more sequels. The Alien vs Predator films are bad enough, and if they're at a point where they're turning down James Cameron because they want to churn out more garbage, I'm not especially interested in another film.

Also, Alien3 wasn't actually that bad. I thought the dog thing was a good idea, made for a bit of a difference in the monster designs.

I think the aliens would definitely be watching Dexter, they can relate to the cold hearted killer protagonist.

Do we really need Ripley in another alien film? Has the character not been fully explored? I would rather see a dark reboot. The alien is the star anyway, we didn't have a ripley in any of the AvP embarrassments. Why not a whole new trilogy of linked stories like the Terminator reboot? McG help us out here!

The Alien lands on Earth, buys a condo in Boca Raton and gives new meaning to Early Bird Special.
