Yes man is a good movie to get relax and to enjoy. Now that we have so much concern about the economy, the war and the globe warming we need a relief from all this stress. This movie provides that feeling and has a very subliminal message about how to change our life attitudes.
If you want to see a deep, intrinsic and complicated oscar winning plot movie please consider other option, but if you want to laugh and have a good time this is your movie.

I think Jim Carrey just genuinely likes making people laugh, hence roles like this and others. Sure, they do bring in the money. But the energy is always there and he is always funny, even in the crappy movies (for me at least). Though, I do kind of wish Carrey would do more serious roles. If I could pick from all the actors I know who surprised me the most with their performance, it'd be Jim Carrey in Eternal Sunshine. I never expected him to be so good.
