new director, new effects company, new writer and I'll shell out for the sequel.....it was okay if not only in part because of the actors themselves....bring on Gambit and Deadpool spin-offs...

This movie gawd-awful. I've seen 80s action movies better than this. Marvel needs to take back the X-franchises and reboot them in-house with Marvel Studios with better writers collaborating with current and past Wolverine scribes. The X-franchises will never reach the level of coolness that was achieved in IRON MAN.

as much as I and all Marvel fans would love to see Marvel Studios take over the writing/production side of the X-Men franchise....20th Century Fox wants total control of their franchise properties...you'd think after the massive success of Iron Man ..along with the amazing fan feedback from Incredible Hulk, which was a large improvement from the first film...they'd be open to working with Marvel

Marvel Studios understands the canon and complexity of their characters...knowing how to bring them to the screen without making fanboys angry as they have been with Fox since their rein of terror...X3, Daredevil, Elektra and Fantasic Four films have all damaged the progress of good comic book movies at Fox since the horrible ones still make tons of money....

The Big Hollywood studios will never get it, they have too many beurocratic dumb asses who think if you put in "x" amount of action sequences, stars, and cool DGI you will have a hit film. Its their bible, their mantra, and no amount of bombs or under performing films will sway them from it.

While I enjoyed the movie for it's 80s action vibe and the amazing Nawlins street fight... I did get the feeling that Gavin Hood's vision wasn't fulfilled to the fullest extent of his abilities. It did feel manufactured by the suits at a few moments. I really enjoy Mr. Hood's work, and I hope on the DVD/Blu-ray, we get to see a cut that isn't as sanitized as the theatrical cut.

I liked it until about the last half hour or so. (SPOILERS) I mean, it really pissed me off how Wolverine seemed completely unmoved by the fact that his wife lied to him. And how Gambit came in at the end and they pretended he had been a central character throughout the movie, even though he just flew a plane and left. And they killed Deadpool. WTF?

The story started well enough, lost its focus in the middle, ended with a bit of an anticlimax.
Jackman and Schreiber were great. Lynn Collins (Logan's lady) was not up to task. Bad casting.
Why was Will.I.Am there anyway? The rest of the guys were solid enough.

There should be a director's cut. I really expected more "oomph!"

Still, I hope that they do the sequel. As long as it's the Japan storyline.

OR... a series of animated shorts whose storylines are taken directly from the comics. something like The Animatrix. that would be cool!

WORST MOVIE EVER!!! I wanted to walk out. Adamantium bullets?! Really? Is he a #%*#ing werewolf now?! Horrible effects, horrible acting, Ma and Pa Kent were there for some reason! The baddest mutant on the planet was polished up and turned into a cheese-ball, bubblegum, mainstream shell of a character. I just hope someday they make a movie with Wolverine in it....
