Film School Rejects: Review: The Hangover

  • Cole_Abaius · 5 months ago
Yeah, I think you got it - the key to the whole film is that it's a comedy in the classic sense, something that hasn't been made in a while. Things work out alright, but there's no dramatic moment at the end, no one really learns a lesson (except Stu). Really refreshing to see an R-rated comedy that doesn't pull punches or feel the need to shoe-horn in a moral at the end.

Cool review. +10 points for the Memento reference!

And didn't the New York Times say 'Dance Flick' was the funniest movie of 2009? You better watch out, Hunter. Those silly liberals might just challenge you to a game of "We Break Your Legs Mobster-Style While You Accept It."

I still just don't know about this movie. The trailers never did it for me, with the exception of the brilliant Tyson singing scene, and I have been burned too many times by comedies in recent years. Reviews are off the charts and I would love to love it, but I am going to wait a week or two I think to see how I feel about it.

The film is beyond funny. I was in a packed theater and everyone was laughing. Sometimes I couldn't hear the dialogue because there was so much laughter. I will probably go see it again.

Graham is wasted? She was only in the movie for 3 minutes and showed a boob and I still thought to myself "Wow what a horrible actress." You can't waste garbage, Hunter.

Sure you can... ever throw something away that could have been composted? Wasted garbage!

But on topic, what did you think of the movie?

Whenever I saw the trailers, I just thought it would be one of these un-funny comedies being made today, but instead I decided to watch it, and oh how I was wrong, I thought it was hilarious, probably could have been better if you changed a few things, but over all a really funny film.
