Boiling Point: Twilight
If you don't like UP, your opinion is wrong.
God, I cannot wait to see this tomorrow.
Another important thing to mention is that as I walked out of the theatre, I was happy. I didn't want to dissect the film, I actually started thinking that this was really going to be a classic film (not just animation) for years to come. And I know I'll be watching it again and again, just because sometimes a story about the human condition is great to remind us that life is an adventure no matter what you do.
One, the blood, gunshots, and dog abuse caused several of the younger kids to cry and beg to go home. You could hear their pleas echoing around the theater.
And two, the movie has long stretches of two human characters simply talking. Most animated movies use animals and other creatures precisely because they keep the attention even during dialogue scenes. Lots of kids lost focus during these bits, and again, you could see/hear their minds start wandering.
Still a great and beautiful movie though. (Maybe not an A+...)
But it also made me laugh and it was a really nice experience.
I kind of want to see it in theatres again, but I'm saving to buy games for a new PS2 because my sister has stolen the shared one away to college.
I feel like a hard core fan.
I really hope that the movie UP is very profitable and a lot of people watch it! It was really great! It must be recognized! People must know how great the movie is!
I don't know about little kids anymore. I remember in the theatres at teh sad parts, I heard a little kid who was sad... Although I had tears trickling down my cheek.
I thought that Wall-E was a much, much better film and as far as the "entertainment" factor goes... the Incredibles is still my favorite Pixar film. B-
And I'm pretty sure the kids won't be tempted to fly their house to South America and throw all their junk out the door because of this movie.
And it was just that; a movie.
