I will see it now since Rogen doesn't play himself for once (same guy since 40 Y.O.V.) & since the ending is so shocking. Thanks Neal. I still have a feeling it won't be that great, but then again I don't have that high of expectations. As long as it isn't like Pineapple Express with all the funny parts in the trailer.

watch pineapple express about 3 times, and you will start to totally love it. i wanted to love it and HATED it on the first go-round. i watched it again with friends and thought, "i'm missing something here." it's the negative space in that movie that really makes it. seriously, on my 3 watchthru, i really really became a fan of that film.

I'd rather wait to see the unrated dvd version instead of watching the edited version in theaters.

I'm not sure what else will make it to an unrated DVD version - the film itself is really graphic. Warners let them get away with a ton.

And that is a bad thing?

I will be seeing this movie tonight and then will be doing a video review on my blog. I hear good things about the movie and that to expect a different kind of comedy that slowly builds until this climax. Looking forward to it, just not sure what to expect.

There's something to be said about a movie that refuses to fit into the mold of a standard Hollywood comedy, but I don't feel like it should automatically receive kudos for that. It's not a cookie cutter variety for sure, but it's also schizophrenic and meandering - it can't make up its mind on what kind of film it wants to be. Dark comedy? Alright, sure, but then make it darkly comedic all the way through. Don't throw in one shocking scene at the end and expect it to be wrapped up the entire film in a dark comedy bow. The film is more a collection of random events than a story.

just got back from seeing this and it was very funny...I don't remember a comedy being released in the last while that equals the humor....I think we all need more Jody Hill...

I couldn't believe the Hannah Montana crowds lining up when I was leaving the theater...I feel very sorry for the parents at least the kids have a few opitions this weekend...while adults and older teens are stuck with garbage like Fast & Furious/Dragonball...Observe being the only real option left

Crank 2 next week, finally a fun R action flick!!

I just got back from seeing this flick. Gotta say, I'm pretty impressed with the level of fucked up things they managed to include in this feature. The entire time I was sitting in my seat, wide-eyed, and either laughing or in shock.

I don't know. Really, that's all I have to say about it. I don't know what else to say. I certainly enjoyed it, but was confused as to how this managed its way into theaters (I later found out that Rogen had to push hard for this to be made.)
