Film School Rejects: Review: Law Abiding Citizen

Your final grade is too low. Even with the less impressive third act the movie is a solid B.

And I agree with your criticisms of Foxx's character in the final third. It was where he should have really stepped up not only as a DA but as a character in the audiences eyes. I was still rooting for Butler all the way through to the end, and there should have been a better transference there. But even so this movie is a blast and tons of fun to watch with an audience.

And it's a hell of a lot more entertaining than this weekend's other big release... (and no I'm not referring to The Stepfather.)

I read the screenplay for this and was highly entertained...but this was before I knew who the actors were. I'm curious to see how well it will translate onto the screen.

I read the script as well, and I was equally entertained by it and the movie. They stuck pretty close (at least to the version I read) and I was only disappointed with the end of each. Actor-wise both leads are fine. Butler does an amazing job even though his mouth seems to have to work extra hard to cover his accent. Foxx is okay.

I saw it at http://hitflix.net/watch-law-abiding-citizen-on... and it was great. Lots of action and paired with an amazing plot.

I did have to fill out a survey but the movie was free and awesome.

No, it isn't Death Sentence remade as far as i see. Much better and much more dark, especially for an action-type.
